2025 Shop! Ideation and IRDC Conference

The 2025 Shop! Ideation conference in Providence was a major success for the Tricarico team. Both Bill and Adriana participated in the Retail Challenge for the second consecutive year. Focusing on a brief for SNIPES, six teams spent five hours developing and pitching six unique immersive retail concepts to a panel of judges. We’re thrilled to celebrate Bill’s team, who took home the win! Their concept will be brought to life as a real booth at the 2026 Shop! MarketPlace in New Orleans this May. Congratulations to Team Drop Squad!
At IRDC, Adriana stepped up to the challenge by joining Team Red for the Iron Merchant Challenge. Given only one hour and a mystery box of materials, she and her teammates successfully created a visual merchandising display under the unique theme of 2D black and white. This event was a great test of quick-thinking design skills and teamwork. Adriana also had the honor of serving as a judge for a dynamic panel. This discussion tackled the crucial topic of how retail can better connect with Gen Z, diving deep into themes of authenticity, community, and designing with purpose. The experience reinforced the importance of fresh perspectives in the industry.
